Scouts On Scuba @ Downbelow October 2015

Downbelow welcome, for the first time ever, a troop of Boy Scouts to our premier PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island in the Tunku Abdul Rahman marine park!
A total of 12 boy scouts will be camping overnight at our paradise island beach house, and their chaperones will be taking turns between 4 of them to camp at the island and our Downbelow Adventure Lodge in KK Times Square.
Whilst at the island, 7 participants will learn SCUBA on the PADI Open Water Diver course with the experienced supervision of our PADI Instructors! A few of the boys will join, either our daily leisure dive boat (if they are certified divers!) or they will join the Snorkel Safari boat – whatever program anyone experiences, they will get to witness the beautiful coral reef of TAR marine park! AND they will trek from our base camp to the longest island-to-island zip-line and practise as many new skills to gain as many merit badges, like building a campfire for a BBQ, practise CPR, contribute to marine conservation and participate in marine biology sessions and beach clean-ups.
Contact our Downbelow Travel Centre experts for a fully inclusive program, such as what our Boy Scouts experience, where we can organise accommodation, transport, and all activities. Visit our dedicated ‘Group Travel’ website: www.gapyearborneo.com
