The final phase of Downbelow’s May IDC prep program is in full swing with all our awesome candidates assisting on a mass PADI Open Water course consisting of 26 participants! Add a few more numbers in there and we could be gunning for some sort of record!

Actually the group is mainly made up of our young European adventurers who are here for their exciting Borneo Adventure program.

It is certainly a great experience for the PADI Divemasters who are soon to be PADI Instructors & at the same a great help to Downbelow’s team of instructors – their mentors.

Downbelow resident PADI Platinum Course Director Richard Swann is very happy to see the progress so far & is looking forward to officially starting the IDC on the 18th of May 2013.

Pablo Taking The Nitrox Specialty Instructor Course in Sabah

Saturday, April 27th, 2013 @ 09:15 News, Speciality Instructor

nitrox-borneo

Downbelow PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor Pablo continues his professional education by taking the Nitrox Speciality Instructor Course with resident Platinum PADI Course Director Richard Swann at our PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre, Gaya Island.

The Nitrox Specialty course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course as scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time, resulting in more time to spend underwater.

There are techniques involved in getting more dive time using enriched air nitrox and that is why instructors are needed to teach these to their students.

An instructor will teach among others, management of oxygen exposure and setting up dive computers.

Being a certified Nitrox Specialty Instructor Course will also count towards a Master Scuba Diver Trainer.

Good news! A few of our staff completed the PADI Open Water Course at our PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre last week.

Under the watchful eye of our PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors Victor and Sam, assisted by PADI Divemaster Mel, the student divers accomplished all of the required tasks without much struggle.

Downbelow has always been encouraging our staff to utilize the manpower that is available even if the course is not directly related to their day-to-day job.

Sometimes though, new experience outside of the normal daily routine can help you re-charge your career and probably your life.

Maybe it is time that you or your staff to experience diving?

Do consider Downbelow with our qualified PADI instructors in teaching status and led by PADI Course Director Richard Swann. We are located only 10 minutes boat ride away from the city of Kota Kinabalu.

Talk to us today and see what we can do for you!
