The Downbelow team are recycling some old water tanks & turning them in to coral reefs!

Yes you read that right – we are replanting broken corals that we recover from the various net removals that we’ve conducted and along the way we are also educating our enthusiastic and awesome local PADI Divemaster trainees about the corals and how to protect and appreciate them and if broken how we can give them new life. It’s a win-win situation!

The project will be documented throughout the process & we are hopeful a tropical marine wonderland can be created from junk & damaged corals that were destined to perish.

Our guests are welcome to visit our underwater “plantation project” so if you are interested please place a request with your Downbelow PADI Divemaster whenever you visit us.
