Studying for an Open Water Course is amazing fun! Even better with an idyllic view of tropical islands!

At our world class PADI 5 Star IDC centre on Gaya Island, a student is reading for his PADI Open Water Course. Leaning back, and feet up; learning to dive can be that easy!

Tim Tam, one of our PADI Staff Instructors, has his student diver use the PADI materials provided with the course, so he will know how to plan dives. After being certified, our guest can dive with another diver to a maximum depth of 18m and explore the exciting underwater world.

The PADI system of education improves divers and at Downbelow many of our students further their diving knowledge and skills.

We’re sure to dive with Tim Tam’s student again one day – maybe for the PADI Advanced Open Water!
