The IDC is designed to develop a well-rounded diving educator who can work anywhere in the world. You will gain knowledge in areas as diverse as risk management, teaching children, hands-on experience of the business of diving, and PADI standards & procedures.
Upon successful completion of the PADI Instructor Exam you will be a certified PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor!

Pre-requisites For Joining
- you must be a qualified PADI Divemaster;
- minimum 60 logged dives;
- a successfully completed & sanctioned CRP & EFR Course in the last 20 months;
IDC Includes:
- Use of dive centre equipment;
- Lunch and refreshments daily when at Beach House Dive Centre on Gaya Island
- All jetty and park fees
- Transfers to/from Kota Kinabalu to Downbelow’s PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre on Gaya Island
Not Included:
- I.E Fee: AUD 730.00, this is paid direct to PADI Asia Pacific
- IDC Application Fee: AUD 198.00 direct to PADI Asia Pacific
- EFRI Application Fee: AUD 226.00 direct to PADI
