Our PADI 5 Star Dive & Adventure Centre in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park – TARP, provides an ideal location for divers who have not been in the water for a while and wish to brush up on their diving knowledge and skills.
The Scuba Review & Refresher Program consists of three parts: a Knowledge Review and a Confined Water Skills Review with Open Water Scuba Dive & an afternoon Boat Dive.
The Knowledge Review segment covers the basic safety information divers learn during their entry-level training.
Divers use the Scuba Tune-up guidebook to independently test their knowledge and/or under a PADI Member’s guidance complete the Open Water Diver course quizzes and exam.
The Confined Water Skills Review allows participants to practice basic scuba skills.
With guidance from a PADI Professional, divers update and fine-tune their diving ability, then enjoy an Open Water Dive to our House Reef. In the afternoon divers join the boat for an afternoon dive with a PADI Divemaster.
Once the Scuba Review is complete and you feel comfortable in the water you can join our Daily Diving Program.
The Scuba Review Program is offered at no additional charge for divers on a multiple diving package.
This dive offers an opportunity to obtain an environmental orientation to a local dive site from a PADI Member while gaining confidence and refreshing dive skills.
Below is the daily itinerary:
08:10 – Hotel pickup (KK City) transfer to Marina
08:30 – Boat to Downbelow’s Dive & Adventure Centre, Gaya Island
09:00 – Knowledge Review Segment & Skills Practice
11:00 – Tea/coffee surface interval on island
12:00 – Open Water Dive
13:15 – Lunch
14:00 – Boat Dive
16:00 – Boat Transfer to marina
16:30 – Return to Hotel
As with all our programs we offer a fully inclusive price, including hotel transfers (KK City- subject to confirmed bookings) boat transfers, park entry fees, instruction, equipment rental, learning materials and certification fees.
