Illegal Net Removal – April 2013

The Downbelow team is called to action again to remove another illegally dumped fishing net in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park.

The team was joined by the May 2013 PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) interns who were about to officially start their course soon.

To make sure everybody knows what to do and also to ensure everyone’s safety, PADI Platinum Course Director Richard Swann held a short but concise briefing before they set off to the spot with the net.

Everyone followed Richard’s instructions and so it was successfully removed without any problem.

It was good to give something back to the ocean and we hope one day you can do something for the ocean as well.
