Sutera Harbour Resort is 5 star resort complex secluded enough to feel outside the city, yet near enough to be within a 5 minute taxi or free, hourly resort shuttle ride from the city.

As part of the resort, The Magellan Sutera offers spacious Golf or Sea View luxury rooms with all the frills.

The resort draws inspiration from a mix of local culture and contemporary style and decor.

The Magellan Sutera creats the perfect setting for honeymoons, romantic getaways or luxury holidays.

Best of all, it’s located adjacent The Marina Sutera Harbour.

From here Downbelow departs to our PADI 5 Star IDC Dive & Adventure centre on Gaya Island every morning for fun diving, courses and non diver activities.

Daily Scuba Diving

All dive sites are within a a few minutes from our dive centre on Gaya island.

Surface intervals and the lunch break are are also enjoyed in this little slice of paradise.

You will have time to enjoy the primary rain-forest that surrounds our dive station.

And perhaps spot some of wildlife inhabiting the island.

Diving includes:

Snorkeling in the TAR Park

  • 3 guided boat dives per day for qualified divers;
  • non qualified/beginner divers can join the Discover Scuba Diving Program on the 1st morning, and boat diving with a qualified divemaster/instructor for the remaining afternoon and days;
  • return transfers to the jetty and our dive Center on Gaya Island (8 minutes by boat);
  • Equipment rental, jetty and park fees;
  • freshly cooked lunch;
  • free flow tea / coffee / water and refreshments;

For non divers, Snorkeling & Jungle Trekking

Prices are based on Scuba Divers. However if Scuba diving doesn’t appeal to you, then join the snorkelling and trekking programs instead and pay the Non Diver (ND) price.

Snorkeling & Trekking indlues:

Trekking on Gaya Island from Downbelow Beach House

  • guided snorkeling and trekking for beginners and more experienced guests. Our guides will show you the best spots, keep you safe and point out interests fauna and flora both on land and underwater.
  • equipment rental including specialized snorkel vests for non swimmers;
  • return transfers to the jetty and our dive Center on Gaya Island (8 minutes by boat);
  • Equipment rental, jetty and park fees;
  • freshly cooked lunch;
  • free flow tea / coffee / water and refreshments;
