The Monsopiad Cultural Village is a historical site in the heartland of the Kadazandusun.

Located on the outskirts of the city of Kota Kinabalu, it’s only about a 20 minute drive away.

The Monsopiad Cultural Village is a truly living museum where the Legend of Monsopiad lives on.

An invitation to take part in a small part of the Kadazandusun traditional lifestyle, the Monsopiad Cultural Village is a unique experience not not be missed.

Cultural dancing at the Monsopiad Cultural Village

At the village you will have the opportunity to experience celebratory dancing and singing and even take part, if you think your skills are up to it.

You will witness the making of traditional handicraft and how the locals prepare rice for making rice wine.

If you don’t think it’s too early in the day, you’ll have an opportunity to taste some too.

A visit to the Monsopiad Cultural Village is an unique opportunity to know more about the unique peoples of Sabah.

The cultural experience is a half-day tour, but consider combining it with one of our other tours for an exciting day of discovery around Kota Kinabalu.
