Day Trip and Overnight Package
Formed on September 21st 1897 when an earthquake on the Philippine island of Mindanao triggered a volcanic eruption just north of Borneo.
The eruption of mud and rock formed a new island 20 meters wide.
Over the next four decades subsequent eruptions developed two more islands which have now joined together and three islands have become one.
Herewith the island was named Pulau Tiga which is Malay for Island of Three !
The last eruption of the volcano was in 1941 but to this day warm mud continues to ooze from geometric vents on the island.
These mud baths are safe to bath in and can be accessed via a 1.2km trail through the tropical rainforest.
Although not proved by science the volcanic mud is claimed to improve the complexion, relieve joint and muscle pain and remove toxins.
After washing off in the ocean your skin feels considerably softer !
If nothing else they are great fun and very relaxing !!
Relics from the Survivor Island Series"
Pulau Tiga was made famous by CBS as the location for their Survivor Island reality based TV show.
Contestants were marooned on the island while cameras followed their every move.
Over a 39 day period they were faced with physical and mental challenges in an attempt not to be voted off the show.
Snake Island"
The last one standing was the Survivor of the Island and won $1 million.
The pristine natural environment of Pulau Tiga Park is protected by the Malaysian government.
Harming native vegetation and animals is illegal and carries a punishment of up to three years in prison plus a hefty fine.

Scuba Diving & Dive Sites Around Pulau Tiga
For macro lovers and underwater photographers it excels.
The diving is relaxed, yet rewarding.
Healthy sloping coral reefs and coral patches surround the island from shallow 3m down to 30m dive sites offshore.
Visibility averages around 15m with 30m plus on some of the offshore reefs.
Myriads of hard and soft corals, whip corals, barrel sponges, schools of Tropical Fish, Snappers, Barracudas, Sea Turtles, Rays, Cuttlefish, Nudibranchs, Lionfish, Scorpionfish, Clownfish and the list goes on and on ...
Throughout the dive sites many species of colorful clown fish can be found carpeting the volcanic rock that surrounds this newly formed island.
Large Marble Rays are seen resting on the sandy ocean bottom next to sloping reefs.
Moray Eels and Sea Snakes look menacing but infact undisturbed are quite unimpressed by our presence.
Upon request for guests new to the sport of Scuba Diving we can conduct Discover Scuba Diving throughout the morning of our trip to Pulau Tiga.
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving program introduces people to scuba diving in a highly supervised and relaxed manner.
It dispels common misconceptions about scuba by letting individuals try it for themselves.
Under the guidance of a PADI professional, new divers learn basic safety concepts, put on equipment and swim around underwater in a closely supervised environment.
After trying scuba, many new divers may decide to repeat the experience. If not immediately, then on other occasions or in different areas. Others will choose to pursue certification by enrolling in a PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Diver course.
Upon Request we rent underwater cameras with housings.
Cannon A640 with Cannon U/W housing a 10 megapixel camera with fully controllable functions. Included within the cost is image download to CDROM.
Cost - 1st Day MYR 150.00
